This is a non linear film trailer and this film is non fiction. This is based on a former damaged special forces soldier who is homeless and on the run form an army officer and is commending around London's criminal underworld stealing peoples identity transforming into a avenging angel.

The locations that are shown in the film trailer are on a main street where a man is getting beat up also a back ally where a man is giving homeless money and also on the top of a major skyscraper in London. The gestures that are being shown in the film trailer are mainly from the protagonist  showing determination throughout building his life back again and strong emotion. The costumes used in the film/film trailer are clothes with rips to make the protagonist look homeless also used as costumes is him dressed as a chef. We also see the protagonist wearing business clothes to change his identity.

Looking at the camera angles at the start we see a birds eye view of the city of London and also when the protagonist has a fight scene and we see a low angle of him and this connotes his dominance when he has finished fighting. In  the film trailer I can see a lot of close up shots which shows the emotion of the protagonist. There is also a lot of medium shots in in the trailer this can show the protagonist strength showing the upper body his physique. We see a pan in the fight scene and we also see tracking of the protagonist as he is running away from the police. As far as editing goes on the Humming bird there are title graphics that are included which is the text for the film and also the companies involved with production of the film these are shown at the start. Also as part of editing there is a a cut to black.

As far as the diegetic and non-diegetic sounds go because this is a film trailer a lot of the music would have been non-diegetic so only the audience can hear it. There are also sound affects used in the film trailer which are also non-diegetic sounds.

B)Form

The name of the film trailer is called 71. This film is not part of a franchise and the film is made by the independent subsidiary company Warp Film.

C/D)Content and meaning

This trailer is a non linear trailer and is based on the story of the Belfast riots between the catholics and the Protestants and the soldiers have been deployed on an emergency to hold them back the soldiers line ends up being broken by the line of protesters and one lad does not make it back to the truck. He ends up running from them he is being hunted down by the protesters he needs to get back to the barracks. This is the disequilibrium in the story.

The locations that are shown in the film are on rural terraced streets in Belfast and then we see also the backs of these houses in the back alleyways and then in the flats themselves. we also see locations in the trailer like the army barracks. The gestures that are being shown are more facial expressions of scared emotions and frightened emotions. The props that are used in the film trailer are the guns which connote dominance and power we also see rocks that are thrown which show subordinate of the people of Belfast. The costumes that are used in the film trailer are the army uniforms which denotes them wearing the uniform and this connotes who they are working for and who they represent. We see the people of Belfast on the streets wearing clothes that are dirty and this connotes that this is in a poor area of Belfast and money is scares for some families and would have to wear what they have got.

In the film trailer there is a low angle shot of the soldiers which is make them dominant towards the riot of people on the streets and then we see a high angle shot of the crowd which makes the subordinate compared to the army. On the soldier that has gone on the run and is trying to escape and get to the barracks we see a close up of his face which connote facial expressions and on these close ups we see him scared and we also see him determined to get away from the crowd. We see a tracking movement in the film and this is to track them and follow the movements of the character.

As part of the editing of this film trailer the main thing is the title graphics so when text appears on the screen for example near the end when it shows the words that companies have used to describe the film and also the main title at the end. We see ellipsis in the film trailer because of the cut to black between the text and the scene and this shows the passage of time. There is an eye-line match in the film trailer when we see the protagonist staring at the crown and then we see the crowd.

Diegetic and non diegetic sounds are used in the trailer some which can be heard by the actors which is diegetic and also when music is used when no speech is spoken is called non diegetic. Because this is a trailer a lot of music is used only the audience can hear it meaning that it is non diegetic.

E)genre

Based on the film trailer that I  have watched I would say that the genre for this film trailer is a thriller and also a adventure because he has to find his way back to the barracks.

F)Audience

The age rating for the film is a 15 however I would not see 15, 16 or 17 year olds watching the film I would see more adults watching the film maybe mid 20's because of the film and the era that it was set but maybe even older than that possibly people in their 40's because of the era when they were born and to look back about what happened in the early 70's.

A)Purpose

The purpose of the film trailer is to promote the film and to advertise this to the audience and this if for the entertainment purpose of the film trailer.

B)Form

The name of the trailer's name is called Dead man's shoes and tis film is not part of any franchise of any other film. The company that made the film was called Warp Film who are an independent film company who are also a subsidiary company.

C/D)Content and meaning

This trailer is a non linear trailer and the narrative structure for this film is there are two brothers and one of them has come back from the military and finds out that his brother has been bullied and ants to get revenge on those who have bullied him.

There is in the film trailer high and low key lighting when they are outside in the woods this is high key lighting and when they are inside this is lo key lighting. The locations that are shown in the film trailer are the woods there is also a abandoned building where he talks to his brother. There is also a scene in the film trailer there is a stair location in a block of flats. the gestures that are shown in the film trailer are quite fears' because we see a man being picked up with a rope around his neck suggesting strong violence ad also where the sae person get something forced shoved in his mouth. From the props that are used in the film I can see a rope which is around a persons neck I can also spot a mans mask which appears to be a gas mask. Also a axe which is being held by a man and ten also a gun these are the three main props that I have identified when watching the film trailer. There are also significant consumes in the film that can relate to the fact it doesn't look like they have a lot of money mainly because he clothes that there are not a lot of high quality branding.

The camerawork that has been included in the film trailer for Dead mans shoes is hand held and this is shown when there is a conversation so its to make out like you are joining in with the conversation. There is close up in the film trailer and this shows fear on this face and this is what a close up does it denotes the emotion on the face. A camera angle shot that is used in the film trailer right at the start is a birds eye view shot which is showing the location over the top. Simple editing techniques like text has been used in the film trailer to tell the story but to also show us the audience the ratings of the film and the awards that the film has won. Another editing technique that is used in the film trailer is the black and white effect that has been used to go back into the past to show a previous scene.

In the Dead mans shoes trailer we see music/sounds throughout the trailer and this is called non diegetic meaning the only the audience can hear it but diegetic means that the actors can hear it as well so this could be speech or a door shutting. Music is used in this trailer to build the suspense of the trailer giving it it's genre.

E)genre

Based on the film trailer and also the BBFC ratings the genre the film is a horror/thriller

F)Audience

The target audience for this film based on the film trailer would be aimed at adults aged 18 and over mainly because this would become unsuitable for anyone under this age because of the age because of some of the scenes used in the film trailer.

A)Purpose

The purpose of the film trailer is to entertain and is to inform the audience what the film is also about but giving too much away

B)Form

The name of the film is called This is England. This is aprt of a franchise which was then turned into a TV series. This is made by the company Warp film who is a Sheffield based company.

C/D)Content and meaning

This film trailer is non linear and follows the story of a boy who is getting bullied at school and he follows in the path of them. His mum is very poor his dad has left him and this group of people are like his guidance he does as they say he becomes better as a person but he meets his match when an anti thatcher person joins the group but they become known to each other.

In the film there is a lot of low key lighting because quite a bit was shot outside to show the grittiness of the 80's and the high key lighting is from it was filmed inside so when Shaun gets his head shaved. The locations that are shown in the film trailer are gritty because of the area and the era that the film is set in. Being and living in the 80's would be difficult so the flat where Shaun lives in is very dirty its messy the wallpapers are falling off the wall and connotes the hard times of the 80's. Another location that was used in the film trailer and can be quite significant is the small area where Shaun hangs around with his older companions and later in this group he has joined there are Muslims on what he likes to call his patch and tells them to leave this connotes how racist the 80's were. Gestures used in the film trailer were to the remarks of bulling but also laughing in the way we see Shaun upset because he has been picked on three times in one day and when he meets the lads and they talk and laugh and this shows another side to him ignoring the fact he is being bullied. Props in the film trailer that become significant is the head shaver where Shaun gets his head shaved and becomes part of a group that he would never thought he would do. Also a significant prop is when he uses a blade to cut his skin to make him part of the other group. Clothes used in the film trailer are all dirty and rugged and ripped because there is not much money going around so in order to have clothes they wear what they have.

The Camerawork involved in the making of the film would have been to connote social realism and this is used when the camera operator makes you feel like you are there and this is used by using close ups of them to really capture their emotions. There is a high angle shot of the lad Shaun to show him subordinate. There is also a wide shot used in the film trailer.

As far as editing goes in this film trailer we see the title graphics at the end of the film trailer which is standard for all film trailers so people know the name of the film. There is also a slow motion blurr in the film trailer to show the effect of happiness. Another editing technique that was on there was a shot reverse shot structure where there is one seen of him talking to his mum and then getting picked on and then showing him again him speaking to his mum.

The sounds used in this trailer is mainly non diegetic sounds meaning that only the audience can hear it this is to give the trailer an emotion to it an also gives the ins and outs of what the film is going to be like. The music builds up in the trailer as this is to grab the

E)genre

The genre of the film comes under the crime and drama genre.

F)Audience

The audience that would be most suitable to watch this film is for the age rating of 18 and over because of strong language, violence and racism.

A)Purpose

The purpose of this film trailer is to entertain the audience and this is also to promote the film to possibly go and watch the film.

B)Form

The name of this film is called Locke. This is not part of any sort of film franchise and is made by the company IM Global and Shoebox films.

C/D)Content and meaning

This film trailer is a non linear film trailer and follows the story of a construction manager called Ivan Locke who is travelling two hours from Birmingham to London but this is far from what his life used to be. He has to tell his family and all his co workers a secret that he has been dreading to tell but he will have to face up to this secret if he wants to keep his life together.

In the film trailer there is a lot of low key lighting in the film trailer this is because all of the film trailer we see him in his car and there is no high key lighting. The locations that we see Locke in the film trailer are him in his car which is a BMW  and we see him driving on a duel carriageway that's it for the locations in the film trailer. The gestures which are shown in the film trailer are his facial expressions on how he is feeling about this secret and the fact he has to tell his family. We see him teaery and then we also see a frustrated side to him because he has told his family and now he cannot control his emotions. The props used in the film trailer are a BMW car and also the keys to start the car and also the phone where he is talking to his family. The costumes that we see in the film trailer and business clothes worn by Ivan Locke who is the construction manager so we would see some like this wearing these sorts of clothes.

The camera work that is used in the film trailer is very limited because we only see him in the car but what we do see is close up shots of Ivan Locke showing his emotions in the car. And there is also a medium close up showing the same emotions There is also a a pan left of a city scape. The camera work is mainly shot in the car.

The editing that is used in the film trailer are graphics titles so the name of the film and also the words that companies have used to describe the film. Another editing technique that is used in the film trailer is a voice over that only the audience can hear so this is called non dietetic sound this would have been edited over the top.

The sound/music used in the music is mainly non-diegetic because a majority of this is music and can be only heard by the audience because this is who it is aimed at. There is the odd noise in the trailer which is diegetic but non-diegetic is there to build the suspense.

The audience that this film is aimed at is 15 and over and would be aimed at B and C1 because of the kind of job Ivan Locke has and this could impact the audience.
